Medical Staff Coordinator – Framingham

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Support billing staff by maintaining and sending regular reports on provider credentialing status and insurance enrollment. Coordinates work and provides support to New England Market Provider Enrollment staff. Assures dues and fees are paid for providers joining through MWHCA/AHO or CMIPA. Request Hospital letter from Medical Staff Services Department as required. Coordinate building of files and provides support for advanced practitioner On-Boarding process. Assist on boarding staff by obtaining any missing documents required for credentialing, re-credentialing, terminations, and insurance enrollment. Maintains a list of NPI number for providers as well as active and terminated providers. Generates on boarding announcement, foot prints etc. Request Malpractice Certificates and distribute accordingly. Maintains filing system in office and keeps files current sending old files to off -site storage. Monitor status of hospital privileges for new providers through contacting medical staff services and communicating to staff at MWPS and SVPS. Maintain roster of all new and termed providers. Develops and monitors a system of tracking credentialing and enrollment information. Assist in the implementation of procedures and policies related to the enrollment, credentialing and re-credentialing processes. Provides general administrative duties to support the credentialing/provider enrollment process.
